Mission and Vision

Image Maker Films Inc. is a Queens-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to advancing equality, dignity, and cross-cultural understanding through independent film and public cultural programming. We create, present, and support artistically ambitious works that amplify the voices and lived experiences of immigrants, refugees, women, LGBTQ+ communities, people of color, Muslims, and other historically underrepresented groups.

 

Our vision is a society where storytelling inspires empathy, challenges prejudice, and strengthens communities. Through films, public screenings, moderated discussions, workshops, festivals, and educational partnerships, we foster dialogue on human rights, social justice, religious understanding, gender equity, and the consequences of racism, discrimination, war, and genocide, creating opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to learn from one another through the arts.
